Eagles look to improve upon 0-5 MAC start
YPSILANTI, Mich.-The Eastern Michigan University women's tennis team will hit the road for its final road matches of the regular season Friday and Saturday April 10-11. The Eagles will first face Miami on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Riverside Athletic Club in Hamilton, Ohio. Saturday will see EMU take on the Ball State University Cardinals for a 1 p.m. serve.
The Eagles (3-14, 0-5) are looking to bounce back after a poor start to the Mid-American Conference season, hoping to finish strong in the final three matches of the season. The Eagles picked up singles wings from freshman Miriam Westerink (Rheden, Netherlands) and sophomore Xu Chang (Beijing, China) in its 5-2 loss to the University of Toledo, April 4.
Following the matches this weekend, the Eagles will return home to the Chippewa Racquet Club for the final match of the season against Northern Illinois University, April 18. Eastern will honor its lone senior, Joanna Woo (Winnipeg, Manitoba) on that day.
