YPSILANTI, Mich. – The annual spring game for the Eastern Michigan University football team is scheduled for Sunday, April 19, at 2 p.m. inside Rynearson Stadium. The traditional Green and White teams will face off against each other in the final scrimmage of the spring season.
Admission is free as the Spring Game kicks off at 2 p.m. This will be fans first chance to get a peek at the Eagles under the direction of first-year head coach Ron English. Immediately following the final whistle, players and coaches will be available on the field for media interviews, fan autographs and photographs.
Additionally, fans who want to "wear what the Eagles wear" will get their opportunity at the Inaugural Athletics Equipment Garage Sale. The sale will begin at 1 p.m. and be held in conjunction with the spring game. From football jerseys to cleats, memorabilia collectors and the most ardent EMU supporters will be able to select from a variety of new or game-used Eagle gear.
Season tickets will also be available to purchase, starting at $45 for adults and $15 for youth. Ticket packages will include new benefits such as a 10 percent off membership card to The Locker Room, the official apparel shop of EMU Athletics, along with the priority to purchase tickets to the Eagles' Sept. 19 contest at the University of Michigan.
Any person that purchases 2009 EMU football season tickets will be entered into a raffle for a trip for two to Fayetteville, Ark. to watch the Eagles and the University of Arkansas Razorbacks battle, Oct. 31. The trip includes bus and airline transportation, hotel lodging and game tickets. Food is not included in the package.
The winner will be announced at the EMU home opener Saturday, Sept. 5, when the Eagles battle Army at 7 p.m.
