Detroit Pistons’ mascot and crew perform jaw-dropping dunk stunts
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) - Eastern Michigan University Athletics welcomes the Detroit Pistons Flight Crew to the Convocation Center for a special half-time performance during the men's basketball game Dec. 22. EMU tips off against Samford at 7 p.m.
“EMU basketball games are the perfect venue for an exciting, yet inexpensive family outing,” said Dr. Derrick Gragg, EMU Athletics Director. “The Flight Crew will keep you on the tip of your seat – and you don't even have to be a basketball fanatic to appreciate the thrill of the show.”
The Flight Crew dunk team is led by Pistons' mascot Hooper. Stunts typically range from high flying slam dunks to mystical front flip jams. Fans might even see the fantastical front flip, double under-the-leg dunk.
While watching the half-time show, EMU Basketball fans can take advantage of $.50 bags of popcorn courtesy of EMU's “Weekday Deals” in effect for all men's and women's basketball home games throughout the 2009-10 season. The program also provides free admission to all children, ages 12 and younger who are accompanied by an adult.
Tickets for EMU basketball games are $9 for men's games and $7 for women's games and can be purchased by calling 734-487-2282. Discounts apply for groups of 10 or more.
