Men's Basketball Team to Appear on TV Five Times

Eagles have two games on ESPNU, two games on FS Detroit and one on FS Ohio
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The bright lights of television will shine on the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team at least five times during the 2009-10 season the Mid-American Conference announced Thursday, Oct. 29. In total, 55 MAC men's and women's basketball games will appear on the ESPN Family of Networks (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, ESPN360.com), FS Ohio, FS Detroit, FS Midwest, Big Ten Network, Time-Warner Sportsnet-Buffalo and Comcast Sports Net Chicago.
The Eagles' first appearance on the small-screen will be Saturday, Dec. 5, in a non-conference battle versus The Ohio State University. Tip-off is scheduled for noon on ESPNU. ESPNU will also air the Saturday, Jan. 30, contest between EMU and Miami University at noon from Millett Hall in Oxford, Ohio.
Just two-days later, FS Ohio televises the EMU-Akron matchup at 7 p.m. before head coach Charles E. Ramsey's crew entertains instate rival Western Michigan University for a Valentine's Day, Feb. 14, tilt at the Convocation Center on FS Detroit. Eastern Michigan rounds out the regular season television appearances with a Thursday, March 4, showdown versus Central Michigan University at 6:30 p.m. on FS Detroit.
EMU, WMU and CMU teamed up with FS Detroit for the three-game package, with the Southfield, Mich. based regional sports network also airing the Saturday, Feb. 27, game at Rose Arena between the Broncos and Chippewas.
As usual, the FirstEnergy MAC Men's Basketball Tournament, March 11-13, quarterfinals and semifinals will be shown on FS Ohio with the championship game appearing on ESPN2.

In just 10 days the EMU men's and women's basketball teams take to the court for the first exhibition games of the 2009-10 campaign. The women's team plays host to Madonna University, Nov. 7, at 2 p.m. prior to the men's team taking the court at 4:30 p.m. versus Concordia University.
