Worley Named MAC Gymnast of the Week

Notched a career-high in the all-around against BGSU and NIU

CLEVELAND, Ohio — Eastern Michigan University gymnast Jolene Worley (Orlando, Fla.-William R. Boone) was tabbed Mid-American Conference Gymnast of the Week the conference announced today, March 18. The award marks the third time for Worley and the second nomination this season.

Worley posted a season-high 39.125 en route to all-around top honors in a tri-meet with conference rivals Bowling Green State University and Northern Illinois University. The win was Worley’s fourth all-around honor of the season. She also posted two individual event medalist honors, taking the bars with a 9.725 and the floor exercise program with a 9.850.

Worley and the Eagles wrap up the regular season Saturday, March 21, against the Kent State University Golden Flashes. Meet time for the Green and White and Flashes is set to start at 7 p.m., with the winner determining the regular season conference championship.
