Bradshaw Earns MAC West Division Player of the Week Honors

CLEVELAND, Ohio. — Eastern Michigan University senior Steve Bradshaw (Lapeer, Mich.-West) was named the Mid-American Conference West Division Player of the Week for the period ending March 10, announced the conference office, today, March 14. This marks the second time Bradshaw has been received the honor.
     
Against Tennessee, Bradshaw went 6-for-11, including 6-for-8 in doubleheader action, Sunday, March 9. Overall this season, he is ranked in the top five of nearly every offensive category, including batting average (first), on base percentage (first), hits (first), walks (first), RBI (second), doubles (second), stolen bases (second), slugging percentage (third) and total bases (third).
     
Bradshaw’s first Player of the Week award came during a five-game stretch in late April last season. During those five games, he went 10-for-20 with six RBI, one home run and seven runs scored for a staggering .800 slugging percentage, helping guide the Green and White to a 5-0 mark during that span.
           
The senior first baseman and the rest of the Eagles will be in action this weekend with a three-game series against Wright State University. EMU and WSU will play a doubleheader Saturday, March 15, starting at 10 a.m. and a single game on Sunday, March 16, with first pitch coming at 11 a.m.
