11/7/2008 11:32:38 AM | Wrestling
Mt. Pleasant, Mich.- Eastern Michigan University wrestling head coach Derek DelPorto will take a break from his usual coaching routine Friday, Nov. 7, when he participates as the main clinician at the Michigan Wrestling Association’s (MWA) Fall Clinic and Banquet. DelPorto will instruct over 250 high school wrestling coaches from across the state of Michigan in the annual event.
Although DelPorto’s main task will be to provide valuable insight on coaching and wrestling techniques alike, he also views the event as a chance to meet fellow coaches who share a passion for the sport.
“It is a great opportunity for me to get out and meet those coaches whom I haven’t had a chance to meet, and also to promote the future of EMU wrestling.” DelPorto said.
