DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Senior Stephany Fleet (Dewitt, Mich.-Dewitt) shot a team-best 73 in round two of the LPGA International Xavier Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Legends Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. to lead the Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team to a third place finish going into the final round tomorrow morning.
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. -- Senior Stephany Fleet (Dewitt, Mich.-Dewitt) shot a team-best 73 in round two of the LPGA International Xavier Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 11, at the Legends Course in Daytona Beach, Fla. to lead the Eastern Michigan University women’s golf team to a third place finish going into the final round tomorrow morning.
Fleet remains tied at fifth place with Mercer University’s Monica Kelsey at 147 overall after two rounds at the Xavier invite after firing a team-best 73 in round two this afternoon.
Sophomore Darby Peters (Lake Orion, Mich.-Lake Orion) shot a 78 in round two of the tournament and is currently in a five-way tie in ninth place after firing a field-best 71 (-1) in the opening round of the tournament.
As a team, the Eagles are four strokes back of Yale University, who shot a combined 296 on the 6,065 yard Legends Course in Daytona Beach.
The final round of the LPGA International Xavier Invite will begin tomorrow morning at 8 a.m.
