Eagles Drop 5-2 Decision to Wisconsin

Frankowski and Krishnan record wins for the Eagles
MADISON, Wisc.- The Eastern Michigan University women’s tennis team fell to the University of Wisconsin, 5-2, here this evening at the Nielsen Tennis Stadium. The Eagles fall to 1-1 on the season while the Badgers earn their first win of the season.
The Eagles were led by senior Vanessa Frankowski (Stuttgart, Germany/Albertus Magus Gymnasium) who earned her first win of the season at the No. 1 singles spot. She defeated Elizabeth Carpenter in two sets, 6-4,6-2. The other Eagle to earn a win on the day was Aditi Krishnan (Markham,Ontario-Canada/Markvile Secondary School). She won the No. 3 singles, defeating Katya Mirnova, 6-3, 6-3, raising her season mark to 2-0.
The Green and White return home to Michigan to take on the University of Detroit Mercy Titans Sunday, Jan. 25. The match is set to begin at 6 p.m.
