IRVINE, Calif. — The Eastern Michigan University soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against the Anteaters of UC Irvine earlier this afternoon. Freshman goalkeeper Maggie Manville picked up her second shutout of the season.
IRVINE, Calif. — The Eastern Michigan University soccer team played to a 0-0 draw against the Anteaters of UC Irvine earlier this afternoon. Freshman goalkeeper Maggie Manville picked up her second shutout of the season.
The Eagle offense recorded seven shots on goal and held the Anteaters to just five on the day. With the tie, EMU moves to 2-2-1 on the year while UC Irvine moves to 4-1-1.
Sophomore Maggie Christensen recorded three of the seven shots on goal for the Green and White offense.
The Eagles return home from their west coast trip and return to play Wednesday, Sept. 19 when they travel to East Lansing, Mich. to take on Big Ten foe Michigan State. The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start time at Old College Field.
