Men's Golf 10th Following Second Round Action

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - Led by senior Graham Hill, the Eastern Michigan University men's golf team resides in 10th place following a first round 495 (294-300) at the 18-team St. Mary's Invitational at Poppy Hills Golf Club.

Hill, who was tied for first after the day’s opening round, finished the first day with a total of 145 (70-75) tied for eighth place. Sophomore Brandon Lemons is tied for 25th place with a 36-hole mark of 148 (72-76) while classmate Cam Burke resides in 47th place with a 151 (74-77). Senior Peter Sauerbrei and junior Chris Ross rounded out the lineup with a 152 (78-74) and a 156 (81-75), respectively.

Baylor University holds down the top spot on the team leader board with a 581 (288-293) as the Bears have three players in the top 25. UAB is four strokes behind the leader while Wisconsin is one stroke off the Blazers’ pace.

The tournament wraps up Tuesday afternoon with the first tee time at 8:30 a.m. PST.
