Junior first baseman notches second-career weekly honor

YPSILANTI, Mich. — Eastern Michigan University junior first baseman Steve Bradshaw (Lapeer, Mich.-West) has been named Mid-American Conference West Division Player for the period ending March 26, 2007, the conference office announced today. This marks the second time Bradshaw has won the weekly award in his career.

Over the weekend, Bradshaw started in all three games batting an impressive .700 going 7-of-10 at the plate notching two doubles, three runs scored and a RBI with a .900 slugging percentage to help Eastern Michigan to a series sweep over Bowling Green and a perfect 3-0 MAC record. In game one of the series, Bradshaw went 2-for-3, in game two, he went 1-for-2 with three runs scored and led the Eagles offensively in game three going 4-for-5 at the plate with a RBI.

For the season, Bradshaw has started in seven games with a team-leading .429 batting average with nine hits (including two doubles), four runs scored and a RBI. He also has a .524 slugging percentage and perfect 1.000 fielding mark.
