Four Eagles post double digit kills in the four-game decision

With the victory the Eagles improve to 17-10 and 8-5 in the conference, while the Huskies drop to 11-16 overall and 5-7 in MAC action. The match was also the first of eight EMU home games this season to go beyond the minimum three games, as the Green and White improved to 6-2 on its home floor.
The senior tandem of Abby Reenders and Becky Reenders combined for 38 of the team’s 76 kills on the night. Abby notched 19 kills and a .236 hitting percentage (19-6-55) to go along with her 16 digs, while Becky knocked down 19 kills and a .273 attack percentage (19-7-55) with digs and five total blocks. Sophomore Victoria Randolph recorded 15 kills and 23 digs to go along with junior Jill Wolosiansky’s 10 kills. Senior Kate Sulewski notched a season-high 68 set assists combined with 10 digs and two block assists.
NIU was keyed by Laura Baetzel’s 19 kills and three total blocks, as the Huskies tallied 65 total kills for the match. Irene Johnson had 17 kills and Cassie Yates recorded 10 kills for the visitors.
The Green and White return to action Saturday, Nov. 3, to host the West Division leading Western Michigan University Broncos. First serve is set for 7 p.m. at the
