We are excited about the upcoming season of Eagles basketball and invite EMU fans to come out and support our teams.
Men’s head coach Charles E. Ramsey enters his third-season at the helm of the men’s programs and has increased the number of victories each of his first two years. The Eagles return leading scorers Jesse Bunkley and Carlos Medlock and expectations continue to rise for men’s program.
The women’s program welcomes new head coach AnnMarie Gilbert, who comes to EMU after five years as an assistant coach at Michigan State. Gilbert inherits a team that finished 16-13 overall and an impressive 10-6 in conference play. The Eagles return two starters from last season’s squad, with the starting backcourt of MAC Freshman of the Year Alyssa Pittman and Kendra Gallert.
Both teams have worked hard in the off-season and will make Eagle fans proud with their hustle, determination and results. I want to personally invite Eagle Nation to join us this season at the Convocation Center and make this a season to remember.
