Ford Field Policies For Fans Attending the Collegiate Clash

“Modified Pat-Down” security procedures are in effect

Fans attending the Collegiate Clash should be reminded that the “Modified Pat-Down,” security procedure for all persons attending the game at Ford Field is in effect. The pat-down procedure entails a head-to-waist inspection for persons of all ages. Jackets, coats and bags will be inspected. So arrive early and give yourself plenty of time to get to your seats.

Detroit, MI – Ford Field would like to remind fans that the following Fan Code of Conduct policies apply to all persons attending the Collegiate Clash, Oct. 19, in order to maintain a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

GUEST CODE OF CONDUCT
Ford Field stands committed to providing exceptional fan experiences. Detroit Lions fans top the NFL in their enthusiasm, team support and sportsmanship. Our image is shaped not only by our players, coaches and employees, but by our fans as well. We strive to create a high energy environment to lend support to our team, while maintaining a safe and exciting atmosphere. We need your help by abiding by the policies below. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation!

The following guidelines have been established for guest behavior:
-Please restrict movement in the seating area during game action.
-Sit only in your ticketed seat and show tickets to a Ford Field representative upon request.
-Never take matters into your own hands. Contact the nearest Ford Field representative if any issue arises.

The following actions may lead to ticket revocation, ejection and/or arrest:
-Displaying inconsiderate or otherwise inappropriate behavior towards others.
-Using foul language.
-Being intoxicated.
-Throwing objects.
-Violating the no smoking policy.
-Attempting to access areas without the proper ticket and/or credential, or misuse of tickets and/or credentials.
-Wearing obscene or indecent clothing.
-Damaging or destruction to the building or property surrounding Ford Field including the parking areas.
-Failing to follow the instructions of Ford Field representatives.

SIGNS/POSTERS/BANNER POLICY
Guests are welcome to display signs in the stadium during events, provided they are not in poor taste, political, offensive, profane or an advertisement. The sign should not impede another guest’s view of the playing field, cause a disturbance among other fans, or cover any stadium signage. Ford Field reserves the right to confiscate any sign or posters. No signs with poles are permitted. No banners are permitted.

Items Not Permitted

To ensure that all guests have a safe and enjoyable visit to Ford Field, guests are not permitted to bring the following items into the stadium:
  • Aerosol cans (hair spray, mace, pepper spray, etc.)
  • Animals (except assistive animals for people with disabilities)
  • Bags: (grocery, duffle, backpacks, luggage, large bags, large purses, large camera cases, etc.) 8 1/2” x 14” x 10” is maximum size for entry
  • Balloons (air or helium)
  • Balls (beach balls, footballs, baseballs, etc.)
  • Banners
  • Beverages or liquids (cans, bottles or boxes)
  • Camcorders and tripods
  • Cameras (professional) or cameras with lenses over five inches long and/or 50mm and above
  • Cans & bottles
  • Confetti or glitter
  • Coolers of any kind, including small soft pack coolers
  • Decals or stickers
  • Fireworks
  • Food
  • Illegal substances
  • Laser pointers
  • Markers (permanent) and/or paint
  • Noisemaking devices (bells, horns, kazoos, whistles, etc.)
  • Objects that can be used as missiles or projectiles (sticks, bats, clubs, frisbees, etc.)
  • Strollers and infant/car seats or carriers
  • Umbrellas
  • Weapons
    No weapons are allowed in the Stadium. Possession of a firearm or any other weapon is strictly forbidden. Possession of such a weapon will result in immediate confiscation, ejection and possible arrest.
The following items will be permitted after inspection:
  • Binoculars and binocular cases
  • Cameras and small camera cases (must comply with the camera/lens limits)
  • Diaper bags (only if accompanied by a child)
  • Small bags, purses and fanny packs (must comply with the bag limits)
  • Small radios (must be used with an earpiece)
  • Signs (must comply with standards of taste and decency; no profane or offensive messages; must not block another guest's view)
To ensure the highest level of safety and security, all guests are subject to a courteous screening upon entering Ford Field. Please note that all personal belongings will be subject to inspection upon entry into the stadium. Prohibited items that are discovered during security inspections at the stadium entrances must either be returned to the owner's vehicle or discarded. Items will not be held for later pickup. Unlawful items that are discovered during inspections are subject to being confiscated, and the person in possession of those items is subject to ejection and/or arrest. Ejection from the game will be without refund and may result in the loss of season ticket privileges.

For your convenience and added security, Ford Field uses a scanning turnstile method of ticket validation.

Ford Field provides guests with optimum security by incorporating the NFL's first-rate security program, 'Best Practices' into our overall security plan. Security measures include: close-circuit TV cameras, screening, pat-down and bag inspection processes, and a host of other methods and systems.
