YPSILANTI, Mich. — The Eastern Michigan University baseball team has released their camp schedule for 2007-08. The first camp will take place in late November, with the last camp coming in mid February. For further camp information please visit www.emueagles.com

Camp
Info: Our camp staff will include the EMU Coaching Staff, some current players and some area high school and college coaches. There will be a low camper to instructor ratio to insure quality instruction. All fundamentals taught will be the same that are taught to the players at the Eastern Michigan University.
 
Youth Skills Camp November 23: The Youth Skills Camp (ages 7-13) will consist of all fundamental play for pitching, hitting, catching, fielding, and throwing. Parents are welcome to stay and learn along with their child to be able to use during their little league season or it is also a great way for you to get some shopping done while the kids our out.
 
IF/OF & Hitting Prospect Camp November 24: The IF/OF & Hitting Prospect Camp (ages 14-18) will consist of defensive position play, along with hitting instruction. The defensive position play will work on the fundamental of fielding along with how to field all possible fielding plays and all throwing plays.  Hitting will consist of multiple hitting stations and fundamentals of the swing. Parents are welcome to stay and learn along with their child or it is also a great way for you to get some shopping done while the kids our out.
 
P/C & Hitting Prospect Camp November 24: The P/C & Hitting Prospect Camp (ages 14-18) will consist of pitching and catching fundamentals, along with hitting instruction. The pitching will consist of windup & stretch mechanics, grips, throwing drills, pitchers fielding practice, and pick-offs. The catchers will be working on blocking, receiving, throwing (timed), fielding bunts, and stance. Hitting will consist of multiple hitting stations and fundamentals of the swing. Parents are welcome to stay and learn along with their child or it is also a great way for you to get some shopping done while the kids our out.
 
Youth Hitting Camp December 27: The Youth Hitting Camp (ages 7-13) will consist of instruction in hitting only, focusing on the fundamentals of the swing. Each player will receive individual instruction and ample hitting time to improve hitting ability, while using various drills and hitting equipment.
 
High School Hitting Camp December 27: The High School Hitting Camp (ages 14-18) will consist of instruction in hitting only, focusing on fundamentals of the swing. Each player will receive individual instruction and ample hitting time to improve hitting ability, while using various drills and hitting equipment.

High Intensity Infielder/Outfielder Prospect Camp February 17: The High Intensity IF/OF & Hitting Prospect Camp (ages 14-18) will consist of defensive position play, along with hitting instruction. The defensive position play will work on the fundamental of fielding along with how to field all possible fielding plays and all throwing plays.  Hitting will consist of multiple hitting stations and fundamentals of the swing. This camp will also consist of an Offense vs. Defense segment learning to play to play at a higher intensity and level. Parents are welcome to stay and learn along with the player.

High Intensity Pitcher/Catcher Prospect Camp February 17
: The P/C & Hitting Prospect Camp (ages 14-18) will consist of pitching and catching fundamentals, along with hitting instruction. The pitching will consist of windup & stretch mechanics, grips, throwing drills, pitchers fielding practice, and pick-offs. The catchers will be working on blocking, receiving, throwing (timed), fielding bunts, and stance. Hitting will consist of multiple hitting stations and fundamentals of the swing. This camp will consist of Pitcher vs. Hitter cage games. Parents are welcome to stay and learn along with the player.
