MEN HOST MIAMI IN SEASON FINALE:
The Eastern Michigan University men’s swimming and diving team will conclude its regular season Saturday, Feb. 3, with a Mid-American Conference match-up with rival Miami University for league supremacy. The meet is slated to begin at 1 p.m. in Jones Natatorium. Both teams are unbeaten in MAC meets this season with both squads sporting perfect 3-0 marks.SCOUTING THE REDHAWKS: Miami has dropped its last two meets 158-156 to Kenyon College, Jan. 26, and 147-96 to Cleveland State, Jan. 27, but remain perfect in conference action at 3-0.
SUCCESS AGAINST UB: Both the EMU men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams defeated the University at Buffalo, Jan. 27, to continue the programs success against the Bulls. UB has never defeated either of the EMU swimming and diving teams as the Eagles’ men’s squads are 8-0 versus the Bulls, while the women hold a perfect 11-0 advantage.
EAGLES TO HOST 2007 MAC CHAMPIONSHIP: The MAC Championship will be returning to Jones Natatorium in 2007, as the Eagles will serve as the host for the Women’s MAC Championship meet, Feb. 14-17. This year will mark the 11th MAC Championship hosted by EMU since 1973, when the league meet was held in Ypsilanti during EMU’s inaugural MAC season.
