Baseball to Host In-State Rival WMU

YPSILANTI, Mich. - The Eastern Michigan University baseball team hosts intra-state rival Western Michigan for a three-game series, May 18-20, at Oestrike Stadium. Last season, Western swept the three-game series versus Eastern, April 15-17, 2005 at Oestrike Stadium. The Broncos leads the all time series against the Eagles with a 74-60 mark.
ABOUT THE BRONCOS: Western enters the weekend with an overall record of 26-19 and a MAC record of 13-9. The Broncos are led by sophomore Nathan Marquardt who is batting .352, with 24 runs scored, 58 hits, 39 RBI and four home runs. Western is coached by Randy Ford, who is in his 22nd season.
EAGLES HEADED TO MAC TOURNEY:
For the first time since the 2004 season, the EMU baseball team has clinched a birth in the 2006 Mid-American Conference Tournament along with Kent State, Ball State, Central Michigan, Miami and Western Michigan. The baseball championship will be held May 24-27 at the site of the No. 1 seed which has yet to be determined.Wrigley with a career-best 10 blocks!🙅♀️🚫
