Swimming Wraps Up Season

Two Eagle Divers Compete at NCAA Championships
ATHENS, Ga.
– Two members of the Eastern Michigan University women’s swimming and diving team competed in the 2006 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships, here, at Georgia’s Gabrielsen Natatorium. With the completion of the meet, swimming concludes the 2005-06 season.In the 1-meter diving event, senior Sarah Chrzanowski posted a score of 258.70 which placed her 24th overall. Sophomore Becky Renkola finished 39th with a mark of 228.95.
In the 3-meter event, Renkola finished 27th with a 271.55 score, while Chrzanowski placed 37th with 219.20 points.
Auburn won the 2006 NCAA Division I Women’s Swimming and Diving title with an overall score of 518.5, edging host Georgia (515.5) by three points.
