OXFORD, Ohio – The Eastern Michigan University women’s soccer team dropped its fourth consecutive conference match falling to Miami University, 3-0, here at the Miami Soccer Field.
 
With the loss, EMU falls to 4-6-2 (1-4 MAC) while Miami improves to 5-6-1 (2-3-0 MAC) on the season.
 
EMU was out-shot 20-12 with freshman Maggie Christensen (Orland Parks, Ill-AA Stagg) leading the Eagles with four shot attempts. Miami took a 1-0 lead in the 36th minute on a goal by Aimee Prevallet which was the only goal scored in the first half.
 
During the first five minutes of the second half, the RedHawks struck again as sophomore Allison Berkey scored on a shot that was deflected off an EMU defender to find the back of the net.
 
Miami added another goal at the 58:33 mark as Kathleen Vistica scored on Miami’s first penalty kick of the season to give the RedHawks a 3-0 victory.
 
EMU continues its four game road stint with a conference match versus Ball State in Muncie, Ind. Sunday, Oct. 8, at 1 p.m.
