YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Eastern Michigan University women’s swimming and diving team completed its weekend sweep of Mid-American Conference foes with a 162-128 decision over Bowling Green, Oct. 28, at Jones Natatorium. Yesterday, Nov. 27, the Eagles downed Ohio 153-90.
YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The Eastern Michigan University women’s swimming and diving team completed its weekend sweep of Mid-American Conference foes with a 162-128 decision over Bowling Green, Oct. 28, at Jones Natatorium. Yesterday, Nov. 27, the Eagles downed Ohio 153-90.
The Eagles (2-0, 2-0 MAC) were led by Catherine Lee Ha, who won the 50 (24.55) and 100-yard freestyle (53.50) races. She also anchored the winning 200-yard medley relay team with Madeleine Pilchard, Shella Carson and Jennifer Miller. Carson also won individual two events, sweeping the breaststroke events (100 and 200-yard).
Also emerging victorious in individual races were Hanna Burandt (200-yard freestyle), Pilchard (100-yard backstroke), Claire Letendre (200-yard butterfly) and Sarah Chrzanowski (one-meter diving).
The Eagles will be in action again Saturday, Nov. 4, for a MAC dual meet with Toledo. The meet is slated to begin at 1 p.m. in Toledo, Ohio.
