Women's Cross Country Finishes 11th At MAC Championships

Sophomore Consolata Kisang leads Eagles with 24th--place finish
DeKALB, Ill.- - The Eastern Michigan University women’s cross country team finished 11th here Saturday at the Mid-American Conference Championship hosted by Northern Illinois University on the Anderson Field course.
Akron won the team title with 41 points followed by Toledo (64), Ball State (117), Ohio (122) and Miami (132) in the top five. Rounding out the team finishes were Western Michigan sixth (135), Kent State and Central Michigan tied for seventh (183), Buffalo ninth (212), Bowling Green 10th (215), Eastern Michigan 11th (284) and Northern Illinois 12th (320).
Sophomore Consolata Kisang (So.-Eldoret, Kenya-Moi University) led the Eagles, finishing 24th in 18:39. She was followed by teammates Lauren Snell (Sr.-Medina, Ohio-Medina) in 47th in 19:09, Amy Zacharski (Sr.-New Baltimore, Mich.-Macomb C.C.) 67th in 19:41; and Lindsay Abdul-Haqq (Sr.-Davison, Mich.-Kearsley) 72nd in 19:48.
