Men's Golf Claims Team Title at Hoya Invitational

Sophomore Graham Hill took medalist honors with a five-under par 139
LANDSDOWN, M.D. – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team shot a two-over par 290 in the final round and held off a late charge from a pair of teams to win the Hoya Invitational with a two-round score of two-over par 578 at the Landsdowne Resort and Golf Club. It is the second-straight year the Eagles have won the invitational.
Eastern led after the first day of play, carding an even-par 288 during a damp and rainy Saturday. The Eagles overall score of two-over par 578 was two strokes better than runner-up Maryland in the 12-team field. Marquette finished in third place at eight-over par 584, firing a tournament-best two-under par 286 on Sunday. East Carolina and Princeton tied for fourth place at 11-over par 587.
Sophomore Graham Hill, who fired a five-under par 67 on Saturday, shot an even-par 72 and took medalist honors with a five-under par 139. He was joined in the top-10 by teammate Korey Mahoney, who tied for fifth place at one-under par 143.
