Sophomore Catherine Fortin led the Eagles with a 23rd place finish
EAST LANSING, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team finished in 14th place with a three-round total of 950 (319-300-323) at the Mary Fossum Invitational on the Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich., Sept. 17-18.
Sophomore Catherine Fortin carded a 229 (71-78-80) to tie for a 23rd place finish, while senior Jamee Plastow tied for 44th place with a 236 (80-76-80). Junior Katie Strawser fired a 237 (83-73-81, while junior Kelly Boogaard and freshman Stephany Fleet rounded out the lineup, shooting a 249 (83-84-82) and 256 (86-83-87), respectively.
Northwestern's Jennifer Hong took home medalist honors at four-over-par 220 (70-76-74). Michigan State claimed the team champion with a 889 (299-295-295).
