Freshman Stephanie Fleet fires a 237 for a 17th place tie
ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The Eastern Michigan University women's golf team finished in six place in the seven-team Wolverine Invitational Sunday, Oct. 2, at the University of Michigan Golf Course.
Freshman Stephanie Fleet led the Eagles, finishing tied for 17th place after shooting rounds of 75-78-84 for a 237 stroke total. Sophomore Catherine Fortin and freshman Courtney Aili were tied for 19th, as Fortin had rounds of 80-81-77 for 238 and ali went 81-76-81 for 238. Junior Katie Strawser shot rounds of 79-82-78 for a 239 total, while junior Kelly Boogaard was tied for 35th after shooting 87-82-84 for 253 and sophomore Paola Sanchez shot 91-85-91 for 267.
As a team, the Eagles shot 315-317-320 for a 952-stroke total. Michigan led the way with rounds of 291-302-312 for 905 total. SMU placed second at 908 with Maryland third at 920, Western Michigan fourth at 942, Bradley fifth at 948, EMU sixth, and Bowling Green seventh with 1028.
