Mahoney ties for Fourth at Wolverine Intercollegiate

Eagles finish tied for ninth place with a three-round total of 864

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Senior Korey Mahoney fired a six-under-par 207 (69-70-68), the second lowest three-round total in school history, to finish in a tie for fourth place at the Wolverine Intercollegiate at the U-M Golf Course in Ann Arbor, Mich., Sept. 24-25. Michigan's Christian Vozza took home medalist honors with an eight-under 205 (67-69-69).

As a team, the Eagles tied for ninth with a team score of 864 (287-290-287) as host Michigan ran away with the tournament title carding a 839 (277-275-287). Freshman Christopher Ross followed with a 216 (75-72-69), while junior Peter Sauerbrei added a 222 (75-72-69). Senior Kevin Ackford and sophomore Graham Hill rounded out the lineup carding a 224 (75-74-75) and a 224 (72-77-75), respectively.

Mahoney recorded the lowest three-round score of 206 at the Marshall Invitational, April 8-9, 2005. The East Lansing, Mich. native also held the previous second lowest mark of 209 at the 2003 Hoosier Invitational.
