Men's Golf Places 13th at Cleveland State Invitational

Sophomore Graham Hill finished tied for 11th with a four-over-par 217
CHARDON, Ohio – The Eastern Michigan University men's golf team placed 13th at the Cleveland State Invitational at the Sand Ridge Golf Course in Chardon, Ohio, Sept. 12-13. The Eagles began the round in 16th place and were able to move up the ladder after turning in a three-round team score of 903 (312-293-298).
Sophomore Graham Hill (Brights Grove, Ontario-Northern Collegiate (Indiana (Pa.) led the way for EMU, shooting a four-over-par 217 (71-73-73), which was good for an 11th place tie. Freshman Christopher Ross (Dundas, Ontario-Parkside) followed with a 229 (77-72-80), while juniors Peter Sauerbrei (Kingston, Ontario) and Bryan Haase (Interlogen, Mich.-Interlogen (Lansing C.C) added a 231 (86-72-80) and a 238 (86-72-80), respectively. After being disqualified in the first round, senior Korey Mahoney (East Lansing, Mich.-East Lansing) fired a 146 (DQ-76-70).
The University of Kansas' Gary Woodland took home medalist honors with an 11-under par 202 (67-66-69), while the University of Louisville took home the team championship with a 871 (293-296-282).
