Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center. Fans are encouraged to bring multiple items and help fill collection bins as Eastern Michigan works to out-donate Central Michigan and support students in need.
PART OF A LARGER EFFORT TO FIGHT FOOD INSECURITY
The Motor City MACtion food drive builds on EMU's broader commitment to addressing food insecurity. The university recently announced the Motor City Meal Pack initiative, supported by a Kroger grant, to package and deliver meals to people in need.
EMU is also participating in the 2026 Mid-American Conference Rivalry Canned Food Drive, which pits conference schools against one another to collect the most canned goods. Eastern Michigan is competing against Ball State through Nov. 20, giving the Eastern Michigan community another opportunity to contribute actual food items and help claim rivalry bragging rights.
These efforts reflect the EMU community's power to support students and neighbors through direct, tangible contributions.
