The 2010-11 season marks the fourth season for Sarah Volpe assistant men's and women's swimming and diving coach at EMU. She joined the Eagles after spending the previous two years as a graduate assistant with Ohio University.
Prior to joining the Bobcats as a graduate assistant, Volpe was a four-year letterwinning swimmer for Ohio. As a graduate assistant, she worked with the Ohio University School of Recreationand Sports Science. Volpe taught classes involving CPR, first aid and aquatics. While coaching,
Volpe assisted with recruiting, was involved with competition day preparations, planned and implemented daily workouts for the stroke/middle distance group and used video analysis to improve technique.
In addition to her work with Ohio University, Volpe was a camp counselor and assistant coach at Total Performance Swim Camp. During the summer of 2005, Volpe was an assistant coach at Hoover High School in North Canton, Ohio.
Volpe graduated from Ohio University with a B.S. in exercise physiology in 2005. She completed her M.S. in coaching education in 2007.
