- Volunteer Assistant Coach
Erica Smith is in her first year as volunteer assistant for the men's and women's swim teams.
With more than ten years of swim coaching and teaching experience, Erica began her career as an assistant coach for her alma mater, Calvin College, where she had been an All-American butterflyer and sprint freestyler. She has also served as a club swim coach, most notably as senior group coach at Peddie Aquatics Association in Hightstown, NJ.
Recently, Erica served on the staffs of Wolverine Swim Camp in Ann Arbor and Army Swim Camp at the United States Military Academy in West Point, NY.
A native of Zeeland, MI, Erica continues to compete as an open water swimmer. She is pursuing her Masters degree in Exercise Physiology at Eastern Michigan University.
