Nick Bass enters his third year at Eastern Michigan University after joining the department in the fall of 2024 as an Assistant Sports Performance Coach. He oversees sports performance for track and field, cross country, gymnastics, and swimming and diving.
Before Eastern Michigan, Nick served as a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Providence College where he was responsible for the strength and conditioning efforts of women's tennis, women's swimming & diving as well as cheer. He also assisted with the training of Providence's premier sports such as women's basketball and ice hockey.
Prior to Providence, Bass was an intern at the University of Illinois and Ball State University. During his time at Ball State, Bass attained a dual masters degree in Sport & Exercise Psychology as well as Sport Performance. Because of this he also had the opportunity to serve as a sport psychology consultant to the Ball State women's soccer team.
Bass is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the NSCA.
