Vince Fritz enters his first season for Eastern Michigan’s men’s basketball program as an assistant coach in the 2026-27 season.
 
Before joining the Eagles, Fritz served as an assistant coach at the University of South Carolina-Upstate, helping a coaching staff that saw a seven-win improvement from 2024 to 2025.
 
Fritz coached on the bench as an assistant coach at Hutchinson Community College in 2024 after a two year stint at Southern Illinois University.
 
With the Salukis, Fritz most recently acted as an assistant coach, previously working in administration as Director of Basketball Operations in the 2022-23 season.
 
Head coach Billy Donlon and Fritz coached together in 2021, both holding their current roles at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. In Fritz’s first coaching position, the Roos finished with a 19-12 record, third place in the Summit League. The prior season, Fritz again was in administration as Director of Basketball Operations.
 
The University of Nebraska is where Fritz started his career in basketball, serving as a graduate manager for the men’s basketball program from 2018-20.
 
Fritz studied at Missouri Southern State University, earning a degree in Health Promotions in 2018 before pursuing a master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Nebraska, graduating in 2020.
