Travis Lewis is in his first year as a graduate manager with the EMU men’s basketball team. No stranger to Eastern Michigan athletics, Lewis was a two-sport athlete for the Eagles from 2005-08 in men’s basketball and football.

On the gridiron, Lewis played in 44 games, starting 33, while earning four letters. A standout wide receiver, Lewis caught 79 passes for 797 yards and four touchdowns in four seasons, averaging 10.1 yards per-catch.

A three-year letterwinner in basketball, Lewis played in 77 career games, starting 61. He averaged 8.2 points and 5.4 rebounds per game in four years for the Eagles, and was one of EMU’s top defenders during his tenure.

After earning a bachelor’s degree in comprehensive theater art and secondary education, with a minor in health, Lewis went on to play both professional football and basketball. He played for the Arena Football League’s Grand Rapids Rampage and Florence Phantoms for two seasons. In basketball, Lewis spent time overseas playing in Shanghai, China for a year.

Lewis is currently pursuing a master’s degree in sport management from Eastern Michigan.
