Matt Reynolds joined the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball program this year as a graduate assistant.
The 24 year-old Reynolds joins the EMU staff after serving as an intern on the men’s basketball staff at the University of North Carolina-Asheville.
At UNC-Asheville his primary duties included making team travel arrangements, scheduling team meetings, arranging meals and coordinating practice times. In addition, he also served as a liaison to various offices within the athletic department, including academics, finance, and facilities.
Prior to joining the Asheville staff, Reynolds was an assistant coach for the boys basketball team at Woburn Memorial High School in Woburn, Mass.
A 2010 sport management graduate at Syracuse University, Reynolds served as a manager for Hall of Fame Head Men’s Basketball Coach Jim Boeheim for four years. He was also one of Syracuse’s head team managers during his senior year iun 2009-10.
A native of Lexington, Mass., Reynolds graduated from Lexington High School in 2006.
He is the son of David and Mary Reynolds and has one sister, Katie.
