The 2014-15 season marks the third for Jerome Robinson on the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball staff and his second as the Player Development and Video Coordinator. He served as the Lifeskills Coordinator during the 2012-13 campaign.

The 35-year-old Robinson enjoyed an outstanding basketball playing career in college and the international professional basketball ranks.

Robinson, who graduated from Bradley University in 2002 with a bachelor of science degree in elementary education, was named the Most Valuable Athlete at Bradley in 2001 as well as being named the Defensive Player of the Year and a first-team All-League selection in the Missouri Valley Conference that same season.  He averaged 17 points, 4.2 rebounds and 2.6 assists during that 2000-01 senior season.  He also served as a team captain in both his junior and senior years.

After completing his undergraduate degree, Robinson played professional basketball in France, Belgium and Austria where he won numerous individual honors, including being named the All-Austrian Bundesliga Defensive Player of the Year twice (2004 and 2005), as well as a first-team selection in that same league in 2004 and second-team selection in 2005.

A native of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Robinson was also a three-year member of the Canadian National Team and played in the 1999 World University Games in Mallorca, Spain.  He graduated from Westwood Secondary School in 1997 where he was named one of the top five players in Ontario as a senior in high school.

Robinson would go on to earn a master of sport science degree in 2012 at the United States Sports Academy.

Robinson and his wife, Beth, have three children, daughter Anaiyah (7) and two sons, Lyris (5) and Corin (1).
