The 2014-15 season marks the second that Derrick Davis serves as an administrative assistant with the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball program. Davis spent the 2011-12 and 2012-13 seasons as a manager for the Eagles. His primary role with the Eagles will be to assist the coaching staff with administrative duties and practice set-up.

The Detroit, Mich. native previously was the Head Boys Basketball Coach at Conner Creek Academy in Warren, Mich., and has also served as the Associate Head Coach at Kettering High and as an assistant coach at Crockett High, both of which are located in Detroit.

Davis was a team captain for the Macomb Community College men’s basketball team and led the team in assists as a freshman and sophomore. He played varsity basketball for two seasons at Detroit's Southeastern High and was named the most improved player in his senior campaign.

Davis graduated from Eastern in December 2012 with a bachelor's degree in communications.
