APC Info:
The Academic Projects Center, a service facility which offers one-to-one writing, research, and technology assistance, is a collaboration between the University Library, Division of Information Technology, the University Writing Center, and the Writing Across the Curriculum and First Year Writing Programs.
The APC offers point-of-need help with research, writing, and technology to students working on research papers and other academic projects. University Writing Center consultants, Halle Librarians, and technology assistants work together in the Center to provide project-oriented support. Although students are a primary audience, the facility and its services are open to the entire EMU community.
The APC also offers a presentation rehearsal space, which includes a projector and video recording equipment. Users can reserve the presentation rehearsal space in advance.

MTC Summer 21 Schedule and Info: As we move forward during these challenging times, the Math Lab is constantly evolving in an effort to best meet the needs of EMU students enrolled in undergraduate MATH and STAT courses. If you are enrolled in an undergraduate MATH or STAT course, we welcome you to seek tutoring from the Math Tutoring Center. We are pleased to be offering tutoring online during the Summer 2021 semester.
We offer expanded online tutoring services:
UPDATE: Due to overwhelming popularity, we will have to cap the one-on-one zoom tutoring sessions to two 25-minute sessions a day maximum. When making an appointment, please book it no less than 30 minutes in advance so that the staff can be properly prepared. If you need more time, use the live chat discord where tutors are available throughout the day.

- Academic Success Partnerships (ASP) was established at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) in 2012 to equip students with relevant skills and training to be active learners focused on persistence and degree completion. -The Brotherhood and Sisterhood (BHSH) Scholars program at Eastern Michigan University (EMU) is a student support program designed to assist first-year students of color during their transition to postsecondary education. KCP College Day
The King-Chávez-Parks College Day (CD) Program is funded through the Martin Luther King, Jr. - César Chávez - Rosa Parks (KCP) Initiative that aims to prepare 6th-12th grade students for higher education. Specifically, this program focuses its efforts on supporting academically and socioeconomically disadvantaged students who otherwise might not have access to the same resources and support. The KCP Initiative is dedicated to supporting underserved students as they transition from secondary education into college by providing critical early college awareness and intervention services like tutoring, mentoring, academic preparation, financial education and scholarships. KCP MICUP-BEAT
Michigan College and University Partnership (MICUP) is a program funded through the KCP Initiative that aims to prepare transfer students for attendance at a four-year institution, specifically those transferring from Henry Ford College and Wayne County Community College District. MICUP focuses on serving academically, economically and socially disadvantaged students who otherwise might not have access to the same resources and support.
The Baccalaureate Education Achievement Track (BEAT) aims to serve all transfer students at EMU, no matter the student's former institution. MICUP-BEAT is housed together within the Academic Success Partnerships department and treated as a collaborative program geared toward transfer students.

Mentorship, Access, and Guidance in College (MAGIC)
-MAGIC is an academic support program for youth experiencing foster care or an alumni of foster care and interested in college. MAGIC offers a place that offers real support so that you can be your best and most successful self! MAGIC is a campus based support program that exists to increase the graduation rates among students who have experienced foster care by removing barriers that interfere with academic success and the process of becoming an interdependent adult.

Edge
-EMU Edge is a four-year academic support program designed to help students realize their higher education goals. To be eligible for the EMU Edge Program, students must be either academically at-risk or eligible for the federal Pell Grant. Students must also have a permanent residence in the state of Michigan. UNIV
-UNIV is a course designed to help first-year students transition to the academic rigors of college. Students completing UNIV earn higher grades and persist at higher rates than their peers. Students learn how to successfully navigate the university system, what study techniques can enhance their grades, and how to live and learn in a multicultural environment.

Success Coaching
-Meeting with a success coach is an excellent way for students to get on track academically and personalize their education. They assist students in navigating the University system, as well as assisting in tracking progress toward both academic and personal goals.
Peer Academic Coaching
-The goal of this program is two-fold; to increase the retention and persistence of first-year students admitted to the University, with special attention given to those students admitted through the EMU Edge Program, and to increase the retention, persistence and academic success of those students employed by the Holman Success Center as Peer Academic Coaches.

Campus Life - Greek Life
-Greek Letter organizations have existed at Eastern Michigan University since the mid-1800s. Since then, the community has recognized the importance and values associated with fraternal organizations and continues to grow. Today, the community consists of 4 councils made up of approximately 800 students. The College Panhellenic Council (CPC), Interfraternity Council (IFC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) pride themselves on their individuality, while promoting a community of a shared mission and values.

The Children’s Institute
-Our mission is to provide high-quality early childhood education programs for the children of EMU students, faculty, staff and surrounding communities. We participate in preparing EMU students to be early childhood education teachers.
The Children's Institute provides high-quality care and education for children 18 months through 6 years. A full day program is available for toddlers, and full and half day programs are available for preschoolers. Flights of Imagination, the summer program at the Children's Institute, offers exciting and varied programs for children entering kindergarten through first grade.

Early College Alliance at EMU
-The Early College Alliance (ECA) is a unique educational program designed to fully immerse high school-aged students into the post-secondary learning environment. ECA is a public, early/middle college program located on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. It exists in partnership with local school districts, including the Washtenaw Intermediate School District. The program gives students an opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school and offers strong, academically focused students a chance to enroll in advanced, college-level coursework. It also provides an alternative for students who may not feel connected to their school.

Upward Bound
-EMU Upward Bound is a Federally-funded pre-college academic program designed to provide students from Ypsilanti Community High School with the academic skills enhancement and motivation necessary to obtain a college degree. EMU Upward Bound is staffed by experienced, caring counselors and professionals who want to help young people achieve their dreams and most importantly build their character. Program services and activities are free to those who participate in the program. Participants can even earn a monthly stipend for miscellaneous education expenses.

University Health Services
-Integrated Healthcare Associates (IHA) has opened a new health center on Eastern’s campus, called the IHA Health Center @ EMU (see news release). This center provides primary care, urgent care, and gynecology services, serving EMU’s students, faculty, and staff along with the surrounding community. Additionally, a new independent pharmacy, called Campus Medical Pharmacy, operates in the IHA health center.

Mentorship, Access, and Guidance in College (MAGIC)
-MAGIC is an academic support program for youth experiencing foster care or an alumni of foster care and interested in college. MAGIC offers a place that offers real support so that you can be your best and most successful self! MAGIC is a campus based support program that exists to increase the graduation rates among students who have experienced foster care by removing barriers that interfere with academic success and the process of becoming an interdependent adult.

-EMU Edge is a four-year academic support program designed to help students realize their higher education goals. -UNIV is a course designed to help first-year students transition to the academic rigors of college. Students completing UNIV earn higher grades and persist at higher rates than their peers. Students learn how to successfully navigate the university system, what study techniques can enhance their grades, and how to live and learn in a multicultural environment.

Drop-In Tutoring
-HSC’s Drop-In Tutoring program is designed and organized to best fit EMU student needs. Our program offers free tutoring services in many of the most challenging general education and gateway courses on campus. Whether you have a few quick questions on an assignment or need some long-term help getting caught up, our tutors are there to help.
Success Coaching
-Meeting with a success coach is an excellent way for students to get on track academically and personalize their education. They assist students in navigating the University system, as well as assisting in tracking progress toward both academic and personal goals.
Peer Academic Coaching
-The goal of this program is two-fold; to increase the retention and persistence of first-year students admitted to the University, with special attention given to those students admitted through the EMU Edge Program, and to increase the retention, persistence and academic success of those students employed by the Holman Success Center as Peer Academic Coaches.

-Greek Letter organizations have existed at Eastern Michigan University since the mid-1800s. Since then, the community has recognized the importance and values associated with fraternal organizations and continues to grow. Today, the community consists of 4 councils made up of approximately 800 students. The College Panhellenic Council (CPC), Interfraternity Council (IFC), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC) pride themselves on their individuality, while promoting a community of a shared mission and values.

The Children’s Institute
-Our mission is to provide high-quality early childhood education programs for the children of EMU students, faculty, staff and surrounding communities. We participate in preparing EMU students to be early childhood education teachers.
The Children's Institute provides high-quality care and education for children 18 months through 6 years. A full day program is available for toddlers, and full and half day programs are available for preschoolers. Flights of Imagination, the summer program at the Children's Institute, offers exciting and varied programs for children entering kindergarten through first grade.

-The Early College Alliance (ECA) is a unique educational program designed to fully immerse high school-aged students into the post-secondary learning environment. ECA is a public, early/middle college program located on the campus of Eastern Michigan University. It exists in partnership with local school districts, including the Washtenaw Intermediate School District. The program gives students an opportunity to earn college credits while still in high school and offers strong, academically focused students a chance to enroll in advanced, college-level coursework. It also provides an alternative for students who may not feel connected to their school.

Upward Bound
-EMU Upward Bound is a Federally-funded pre-college academic program designed to provide students from Ypsilanti Community High School with the academic skills enhancement and motivation necessary to obtain a college degree. EMU Upward Bound is staffed by experienced, caring counselors and professionals who want to help young people achieve their dreams and most importantly build their character. Program services and activities are free to those who participate in the program. Participants can even earn a monthly stipend for miscellaneous education expenses.
