Sports Performance Internship Program

Responsibilities:
- Assist with supervision and coaching of training sessions for all sports as assigned
-Weight Room Management Duties
- Set up and break down of training sessions
- Providing a positive training atmosphere for the student-athletes
- Routine maintenance of facility
- Successful completion of Internship Curriculum
- Frequent technology administration and data transferring (Force Plates, Velocity Based Training Systems, & GPS)
- Any other duties as assigned by the staff
- Interns are required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week
- Requires long hours standing, sitting, walking, running, jumping, and other physical activity
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs
- Must be flexible to frequently changing work hours
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing bachelors or masters degree in exercise science, sport management, or related field
- Certified in or pursuing CPR/First Aid
- A strong desire to become a Sports Performance Coach
- Plans to pursue a nationally recognized strength and conditioning certification through either the National Strength and Conditioning Association or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association
