Guide for Guests with a Disability
Rynearson Stadium
Parking:
There is accessible parking in the Convocation Center Parking Lots B & C . To park in these spaces, a properly issued disability parking placard or disabled person car license plate must be displayed. The disability parking placard or disabled person car license plate are issued by the State and not by Eastern Michigan University. EMU parking permits may be upgraded after qualifying through the Secretary of State Office.
Seating:
The Stadium has seating for our patrons with a disability available on the Home /West side of the stadium in Sections 101 to 103 that are accessible from Gate 1 (off Hewitt Rd.) and in Sections 110 to 114 that are accessible from Gate 2 next to the Convocation Center. Seating for our patrons with a disability on the Visitors/East side is in Sections 115 to 131 that are accessible from Gate 2 next to the Convocation Center. All of the accessible seating is in the General Admission areas of the stadium, a reserved ticket is not required.
Courtesy Shuttle Service:
EMU provides complimentary shuttle service to and from the Rynearson and Convocation Center parking lots. These shuttles run from an hour prior to the game until 45 minutes after the game. Pick up / Drop off points are the West Gate # 1, The Convocation Center Gate # 2, Parking Lots B, C, & D next to the Convocation Center, and Rynearson Lots 1 – 7 across the street from the Stadium.
Will Call:
All Will Call for the Stadium is located inside the Convocation Center - entrance A and is 100% accessible. Will Call opens 90 minutes prior to kickoff.
Rest Rooms:
All rest rooms in Rynearson Stadium are accessible and the restrooms inside the Atrium of the Convocation Center are also available and accessible on Home Football game days.
Wheel Chairs:
For the convenience of our patrons with disabilities, wheelchairs are available to check out at the Convocation Center Ticket Office – located on the south end of Rynearson Stadium. While attending a Home Football game, fans may check out a wheel chair by providing their name, address, phone number, exact seat location and State ID. Wheelchairs may be requested at any gate from an Event Staff member. Wheelchairs will be picked up by an event staff member late in the 4th Quarter and the patron escorted back to the Convocation Center for pick up.

The Lower Level, or Concourse Level, of the EMU Convocation Center has accessible seating available in Sections 101, 102, 105, 106, 108 109, 112, 113, 114, 115, 118, 119, 121, 122, 125 and 126. When ordering tickets to an event inside the Convocation Center, please specify when accessible seating is required. Many events in the arena are assigned seating and the accessible areas are often monitored, requiring special tickets. During many events, such as a graduation ceremony, there is a large demand for the accessible seating areas and a patron may be limited to only one (1) companion in the accessible seating areas.

All Will Call for the arena is located inside the Convocation Center Atrium - entrance A and is 100% accessible. Will Call opens 90 minutes prior to an event.

All rest rooms in the EMU Convocation Center are accessible. The Men’s rooms are located on the East and West sides of the center and the Women’s rooms are located on the North and South sides of the center. There is also a Men’s and Women’s room on the North side with a baby changing station.
Nursing Room:
There is a private room available for nursing mothers near Section 109 of the Convocation Center. To have the room unlocked please see an EMU Event Staff member or ask at the Main Ticket Office in the Atrium.

For the convenience of our patrons with disabilities, wheelchairs are available at many events to check out at the Convocation Center main Ticket Office – located on the North end of the EMU Convocation Center. While attending an event, patrons may check out a wheel chair by providing their name, address, phone number , exact seat location and State ID. Wheelchairs may be requested through any Event Staff member. Wheelchairs will be picked up by an event staff member late in the event and the patron escorted back to the Convocation Center Atrium for pick up. There are certain events like graduations, where the Ticket Office will provide escort service for those patrons needing wheelchair assistance. Due to the high demand for the wheelchairs during these events, the Ticket Office Event
Staff will escort the patron to and from their seating area so that they may use the wheelchair to assist other patrons.

Pick up / Drop off points are the circular drive next to Entrance A and near entrance C. Ask at the Ticket Office if shuttles are running for a particular event.
Assisted Listening Devices:
Assisted listening devices are available for loan at no charge from the Ticket Office. A driver’s license, credit card or other acceptable form of photo ID is required as a deposit. ALD’s must be returned within 30 minutes of the end of the event.
