Mother, Gloria, graduated from the University of Detroit Mercy...Brother, Brian, played basketball at UDM, while brother, Michael, played football at Alabama State...EMU: Began his career as a tight end and caught four passes for 12 yards as a true freshman...Moved to defensive line for the 2005 season and was a standout there during his final three years on the team...Earned four varsity football letters...One of the all-time leaders in EMU history in tackles-for-loss with 50-for-194 yards during his career...Also recorded 14 sacks for 101 yards...Selected to play in the 2008 Senior Bowl All-Star Game and finished with three tackles, one sack for 14 yards and one for ced fumble...Selected to participate in the NFL Pro Combine in late February...Chosen first-team All-Mid-American Conference by the league's coaches and was also a first-team All-MAC selection by Phil Steele's Collegiate Football Magazine...2007: Played in all 12 games, starting 11 times...Named first-team All-MAC...Finished tied for seventh in the NCAA, and led the MAC, in tackles-for-loss with 1.63 per game...Had one double-figure tackle game with 11 at Vanderbilt (Sept. 29)...Finished fourth on the team in tackles with 70...Named the recipient of the Harold E.
