MAC Reveals Men's Basketball Conference Schedule

Teams playing 22 conference games for first time ever

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Mid-American Conference has unveiled the Eastern Michigan University men's basketball schedule, Wednesday, Aug. 12.
MAC teams will play 22 conference games for the first time ever, matching up home-and-home against the other 11 MAC schools.
Eastern opens the MAC schedule by hosting UMass, Dec. 2, before playing four of its next five contests on the road.
EMU then plays six of its next eight games inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center, including a Tuesday night game against 2025-26 MAC Tournament Champion Akron, Jan. 12.
After playing three of its next four games away from home, the Eagles return to Ypsilanti to battle 2025-26 MAC Regular Season Champion Miami, Feb. 23, before the closing the home slate with a Feb. 27 game against Buffalo.
Eastern concludes the regular season with back-to-back road games for the seventh time in 10 years, playing at Kent State, March 2, and at Bowling Green, March 5. EMU closes the regular season with a road contest for the ninth time in 10 years.
First-year head coach Billy Donlon has brought in 11 new Eagles to bolster a trio of returners as Mohammad Habhab, Gregory Lawson II, and Braelon Green elected to remain in the Green and White.
In the 2025-26 season, Habhab was one of four players nationally to average at least 14.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game. Lawson II produced a robust 43.2% three-point percentage while coming on strong in last season's second half, averaging 12.4 points per game over the final 14 games. Green, a defensive stopper, made 16 starts in the 2025-26 season while producing a career-high 22 points at Bowling Green, Jan. 17.
