YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team celebrated Senior Night Friday, March 6, dropping a 77-69 decision against Bowling Green State University, in Mid-American Conference action.

Addison Patterson (Mississauga, Ontario/Bella Vista College Prep/Northwestern State) led Eastern with 21 points and nine rebounds as Eastern led by five with 16:37 to go.

How It Happened

After falling behind 19-9, Eastern Michigan went on a 7-0 run with 9:08 left in the first half, culminating in a three from Mak Manciel (Detroit, Mich./Stevenson/Detroit Mercy), to narrow its deficit to 19-16. EMU then closed the rest of the gap and grabbed a 31-28 lead heading into halftime. Eastern Michigan did most of its first half damage in the paint, scoring 22 of its 31 points close to the basket.

Bowling Green proceeded to take a 60-50 lead before Eastern Michigan went on a 5-0 run, finished off by Gregory Lawson II's (Saginaw, Mich./Oak Cliff Academy) three, to shrink the deficit to 60-55 with 6:21 to go in the contest. BGSU responded and outscored the Eagles the rest of the way, ending the game with a final score of 77-69.

Game Notes
» Eastern finishes the season 10-21 overall and 4-14 in the MAC while Bowling Green moves to 18-13 overall and 9-9 in conference action and advancing to the MAC Tournament.
» Eastern was 26-of-59 (44.1%) from the field and 3-of-16 (18.8%) from the three-point line, while Bowling Green was 26-of-66 (39.4%) from the floor and 7-of-19 (36.8%) from three-point range.
» EMU dropped to 10-7 this season when shooting a better field goal percentage than its opponent. The Eagles started the season 9-0 in the category.
» Mohammad Habhab netted 11 points, his 25th game in double digits this season.
» Mohammad Habhab had two blocks and has at least one rejection in 15-straight games.
» Addison Patterson (Mississauga, Ontario/Bella Vista College Prep/Northwestern State) scored 21 points, his 24th game in double figures this season. He finished the campaign with five games scoring at least 20 points.
» Braelon Green (Southfield, Mich./Southfield/Bowling Green) netted 12 points, his sixth game scoring at least 10 points this year. Green who scored 22 points against BGSU, Jan. 17, averaged 17.0 points per game in the two games against his former school.
» Godslove Nwabude (Anambra State, Nigeria/Mt. Zion Prep (Md.)) recorded four blocks, representing his fourth game with at least four blocks this season.
» Eastern tallied six blocks, its 14th-straight game with at least three rejections.
