The sophomore won both diving events in the Eagles’ meet against Ball State

CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Eastern Michigan University diving student-athlete Rose Kendrick was named Mid-American Conference (MAC) Diver of the Week Tuesday, Jan. 27.

At the Eagles' meet against Ball State University Saturday, Jan. 24, Kendrick (Geneva, N.Y./Geneva) won both the one-meter and three-meter diving events, as the Eagles swept both events, taking the top four spots in each. Kendrick earned a personal best score of 280.88 points in the one-meter, along with another personal best score of 295.13 points in the three-meter.

This is Kendrick's second time winning the award. She also earned the accolade earlier this season on Nov. 4, after her first collegiate win in the Eagles' meet against the University of Akron, Oct. 31, scoring 265.35 points in the three-meter. For Head Women's Diving Coach, Tom Gimm, Kendrick marks the fourth time an athlete has gotten MAC Diver of the Week honors during his time with the Eagles, the first and second both being Rebekah Knapp in the 2024-25 season, followed by Kendrick's first earlier this season. Knapp earned the honor for the first time under Gimm, Oct. 23, and earned MAC Co-Diver of the Week, Nov. 27.
