MAC title No. 159 was secured along with 14 individual and relay crowns
YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) — It was another golden year for Eastern Michigan University Athletics as the department celebrated its 159th all-time Mid-American Conference title, the most of any school since entering the league in 1973 as the lacrosse program earned a share of the MAC regular season title. Along with 14 individual and relay titles won at MAC indoor and outdoor championship events, the Eagles placed 60 student-athletes on All-MAC ledgers while also making history in various sports.

- In just its third year, the lacrosse team finished the 2025 regular-season in a three-way tie for the 2025 Mid-American Conference title - its first conference championship in program history.
- NCAA National Qualifier: Megan Lupa as a "true" freshman (swimming & diving) qualified for the NCAA Championships in platform diving, adding to EMU's national presence.
- 52 MAC Player/Athlete of the Week Awards across 10 sports, including football (James Djonkam, Jesús Gómez), lacrosse (Mackenzie Blackwell, Maddy Porter), and track & field (Saraiah Walkes, Gabe Singh), reflecting consistent individual excellence.
- 25 First Team All-MAC Selections and 35 Second Team All-MAC Selections in sports like track & field (Formula Thompson, Kian Wiles), lacrosse (Blackwell, Porter), and gymnastics (Raisa Boris), showcasing dominance across genders and disciplines.
- 14 MAC Individual/Relay Championships in track & field, including Saraiah Walkes' triple crown (Indoor 200m, Outdoor 100m, 200m) and lacrosse's shared 2025 MAC Regular Season Championship (3-way tie with Akron and Robert Morris), highlighting team and individual supremacy.
- Women's golf's Savannah de Bock became the first EMU woman to qualify for the NCAA Regional Tournament, while lacrosse set a program record with four All-MAC honors and three First Team selections.
- Baseball: Qualified for the MAC Tournament for the first time since 2018, with Tyler Kapa leading the MAC in strikeouts (90), a feat not achieved by an EMU player since 2010.
- Football: Ranked 1st in the MAC in first downs (258, 48th nationally) and field goals per game (Jesús Gómez, 1.67, 10th nationally). Defensively, ranked 45th nationally in third-down conversion defense (36.2%). Led the MAC in blocked kicks (4, 6th nationally) and fourth-down conversion defense (34.8%, 8th nationally).
- Lacrosse: Mackenzie Blackwell (MAC Attacker of the Year) broke five school records, ranking 13th nationally in goals per game (3.06), while Maddy Porter (MAC Goalkeeper of the Year) led the NCAA in ground balls (71) for the second year.
- Women's Golf: Angelica Holman won the Women's National Golf Invitational, leading EMU to a runner-up finish with a program-record stroke average (300.9). De Bock's record-breaking season average (73.1) rewrote the EMU record book.
- Gymnastics: Earned a runner-up finish at the MAC Championships (195.525 points), with Raisa Boris named MAC Senior Gymnast of the Year and qualifying for NCAA Regionals alongside Abby Brushwood.
- Track & Field: Saraiah Walkes earned MAC Most Valuable Performer honors, with EMU securing 11 NCAA Regional qualifiers and dominant relay performances (Men's and Women's 4x400m, Men's 4x100m).
- EMU claimed multiple prestigious honors, including MAC Freshman of the Year (Megan Lupa), MAC Attacker of the Year (Mackenzie Blackwell), and MAC Goalkeeper of the Year (Maddy Porter).
