Shved repeats at All-MAC First Team honoree while Vichare earned second-team nod
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) -- Eastern Michigan University tennis student-athletes Daniella Shved and Prerna Vichare have been named to the All-Mid-American Conference teams for the 2025 season, the league announced, April 23. Shved was named All-MAC First Team for the third consecutive year while Vichare earned placement on the All-MAC Second Team for the second time in her career.
Shved (Holon, Israel/Ort Holon) was named the first team for the third consecutive season after posting 14 wins in singles play, including 10 in dual action and seven against MAC foes. Playing primarily at No. 1 singles, Shved was 7-5 at the position in duals and added a 3-1 mark while playing at No. 2. Her play at No. 1 singles clinched three of the team's 12 victories on the season, tying her for the team lead in that category. Shved also was a contributor in doubles, winning another 14 matches, including eight in dual action and five in MAC play. Playing primarily at No. 3 doubles, Shved and her partners combined for seven wins. She had a hand in clinching the doubles point four times in 2025 as the team secured the point in 14-of-23 matches.
Vichare (Mumbai, India/Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics) was named to the second team for the second time in her career after being selected for the honor as a freshman in 2022. In her senior season, Vichare tallied a 12-5 record in singles play, including an 11-4 mark in duals and 6-2 in MAC matches, as she played at Nos. 1-4 during the season with most of her matches coming at No. 3, where she was 6-3. She also was one of the top doubles players on the team as she accumulated a 17-7 record, including 13-4 in duals and 6-1 in the MAC, and helped clinch a team-high four doubles points. Playing primarily at No. 1 doubles, Vichare posted an 11-3 record to bring her career total to 60 wins, the 19th-most in program history. Along with 40 career singles wins, Vichare capped her collegiate career with 100 combined wins.
The awards, based upon voting by the league's head coaches, mark the 56th and 57th All-MAC honors earned by EMU players dating back to 1981. All told, Shved earned the 46th first-team accolade in program history while Vichare garnered the 11th second-team honor.
