Jalen Terry Named MAC Player of the Week

Terry scored 38 points against Toledo and 25 at Ball State
CLEVELAND, Ohio (EMUEagles.com) – Coming off a 38-point outburst against Toledo, Feb. 15, Eastern Michigan University men's basketball senior guard Jalen Terry has been named the Mid-American Conference Player of the Week, the MAC announced Monday, Feb. 17.
Terry (Flint, Mich./Beecher/Oregon/DePaul) put together an outstanding week for the Eagles, averaging 31.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals over the two games last week.
Against Toledo, Feb. 15, Terry scored a career-high 38 points to go with eight rebounds and two assists. Terry remarkably converted his first 12 field goal attempts of the game, finishing an incredible 15-of-17 from the field, which included a 6-of-7 mark from three-point range. Terry is one of just four players nationally to record at least 38 points and eight rebounds in the 2025 calendar year.
His 38-point outburst overshadowed his stellar showing at Ball State, Feb. 11, in which he produced 25 points, five rebounds, and five assists, becoming the first Eagle to post that stat line in MAC play since March 5, 2011, when Brandon Bowdry had 27 points, 10 rebounds, and six assists against Toledo.
Terry earned the honor for the first time in his career and joined Da'Sean Nelson (Toledo, Ohio/Robert S. Rogers/Kilgore College/DePaul) as Eagles to receive the award this season. Nelson has been named MAC Player of the Week three times.
