Each team earned the award as the EMU Athletic Department set a department record with a 3.438 cumulative GPA

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University cross country teams earned the United States Track and Field/Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic honors in a semester where the overall EMU Athletic Department Fall 2024 cumulative GPA reached 3.438, the highest in department history, with 72% of student athletes and 94% of teams above a 3.0 cumulative GPA.

A team must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 in order to make the cut as a group. Eastern teams easily surpassed those requirements as the women's team posts a cumulative GPA of 3.554 and the men's squad holds a 3.454 cumulative GPA, good for second overall among EMU men's athletic teams. In the 2024 fall semester, 18 women earned a 3.0 GPA or better, and six tabbed a perfect 4.0. On the other hand, fourteen members of the men's squad posted above a 3.0 GPA or better in the fall term, with one member earning a perfect 4.0.
