Cross Country Announces 2024 Schedule

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's cross country programs along with women's head coach Sue Parks and men's head coach Austin Whitelaw announced the team's 2024-25 schedule Monday, Aug. 5.
The Eagles are slated for six regular-season meets before entering post-season action beginning with the Mid-American Conference (MAC) Cross Country Championships, hosted by Ball State University in Muncie, Ind., Saturday, Nov. 2.
The Eagles will kick-start their season up north at the Jeff Drenth Memorial, hosted by rival Central Michigan University in Shepherd, Friday, Aug. 30.
Eastern will remain in the Mitten State for meet No. 2, and will again head to rival territory as they will compete at the George Dales Invitational, hosted by Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo Friday, Sept. 20.
A bulk of the season will take place in October, as the Eagles are slated to see action four times, with the first meet being the Notre Dame University-hosted Joe Piane Invitational in South Bend, Ind., Friday, Oct. 4.
Set to attend two meets on the same day Friday, Oct. 18, Eastern will compete at the Falcon Invite, hosted by Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio. The remaining Eagles will head south to the Arturo Barrios Invite, put on by Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas.
The Eagles will return to southeast Michigan for their lone home meet of the 2024 campaign, as they will host the EMU Fall Classic Friday, Oct. 25 in Dexter, Mich.
Following the MAC Championships, qualifying harriers will advance to the regional round of the post-season with the NCAA Great Lakes Regional, hosted by the MAC in Norton, Ohio, Friday, Nov. 15. The season will conclude with the NCAA Cross Country Championships, hosted by the University of Wisconsin in Madison Saturday, Nov. 23.
