Eagles making pair of trips to Lone Star State

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University men's basketball team has announced its 2024-25 non-conference slate, the program revealed Thursday, Aug. 29. Game times and television selections will be announced at a later date.
Eastern fans will be able to see the Eagles in an exhibition, Oct. 30, vs. Central State University before EMU's official home opener against Siena Heights University, Nov. 8.
The Eagles open the 2024-25 campaign at Texas State University, Nov. 4, in the first leg of the Mid-American Conference-Sun Belt Conference Challenge. EMU's non-conference slate concludes with the second leg of the MAC-SBC Challenge against an opponent to-be-determined, Feb. 8, inside the George Gervin GameAbove Center.
After taking on IU-Indianapolis (Nov. 14), Cleveland State (Nov. 16), and Oakland (Nov. 21) on the road, Eastern will head to Texas for the second time in November, battling Houston Christian University (Nov. 25) and Northern Arizona University (Nov. 26) in Houston, Texas.
EMU closes November by hosting the University of Detroit-Mercy (Nov. 30), before opening December by traveling to Loyola University Chicago (Dec. 3). The Eagles also host Purdue University (Dec. 15) and Wright State University (Dec. 21) before finishing the 2024 calendar year at Davidson University (Dec. 28).
The top eight teams in the MAC standings will qualify for the 2025 MAC Tournament with first-round action set to begin March 13 inside Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The championship final will be played March 15 with the winning team earning an automatic berth into the 2024 NCAA Tournament.
