EMU, Teamworks Influencer Launch The Eastern NIL Exchange NIL Platform

Program will help EMU student-athletes maximize their Name, Image and Likeness opportunities

YPSILANTI, Mich. (EMUEagles.com) – The Eastern Michigan University Department of Athletics, in partnership with Teamworks Influencer, is pleased to announce the launch of The Eastern NIL Exchange, a platform that will complement the department's NIL program and help EMU student-athletes maximize their Name, Image and Likeness opportunities.
The Eastern NIL Exchange is a custom-designed platform for local and national businesses to connect and engage directly with Eastern Michigan student-athletes for NIL opportunities. Companies can find out information and register for The Eastern NIL Exchange at EMUEagles.com/exchange.
"As we navigate the evolving landscape of Name, Image, and Likeness opportunities in collegiate athletics, we are proud to introduce the Eastern NIL Exchange," said EMU Vice President and Director of Athletics Scott Wetherbee. "This innovative platform signifies our commitment to empowering EMU student-athletes, offering them a direct conduit to harness their personal brand potential. With this tool, we aim to complement our existing NIL program, providing our athletes with the resources and connections needed to thrive in the marketplace. The Eastern NIL Exchange underscores our dedication to fostering holistic development and ensuring our student-athletes are equipped for success both on and off the field."
A free service for both student-athletes and businesses, a business can register on The Eastern NIL Exchange and have access to a searchable database of student-athletes with the ability to filter that database through a variety of criteria. Each business that is compliant with EMU's NIL guidelines can message the student-athlete directly in the application or request contact information to begin discussions about any potential NIL transaction.

By adding this resource, Eastern Michigan student-athletes will be able to create business connections, streamline payments and reporting processes, consolidate tax information and create appropriate separation between the University and each student-athlete's pursuit of NIL opportunities, all within the Influencer app. The Eastern NIL Exchange will also provide student-athletes with education on NIL issues, while also tracking social media engagement and growth.
